Picnic with midwives…

June 10th was one of the most beautiful days we have had all year. The sun was shinning brightly, the temperature rising and the excitement growing rapidly within me. Through our windows we could see crowds of people enjoying their days, while we exercised heavily in our leaving room. As the urge to leave started to consume us, we got ready, we made some rice krispy squares, filled up our water bottles and left. We joined our midwives for a picnic at a park. Tables were filled up with all kinds of treats and sweets, pastas, sausages and fruits. Moms breastfeeding their newborn babies, toddlers running around with sweets in each hand and dads filling up their plates with a little of everything were all part of our colorful day.
Sharon, Mommy, Jacob, JackieTo further enjoy our day, we proceeded for a quick visit at your grandparents. In other words… we wanted to use their pool. It was hot, too hot now, and their pool was exactly what we needed. We don’t really swim in their pool, so we dipped in and came right out, sat and talk, ate their food and left.
First time in a [salt water] pool…
